Pygmalion
"What is your aim in philosophy?
- To show the fly the way out of the fly-bottle."
(Wittgenstein: Philosophical Investigations (309)
_____________________________________
i dislike the analogy
it is a "fly bottle"........therefore the
fly belongs there....in the bottle
and doesn't need anyone's help
he is where he belongs
i relate to the fly
and one more thought on this subject
it was Wittgenstein who made the analogy........so he related to the fly as well.....so the only one he should be fixing is himself........especially if each one of us is responsible for our choices in life........be they intended or the result of the limbic brains interference

Coming Together of the Sacred & Profane
i love it when things finally come together
big things
small things.........it don't matter
i see all these pieces......all @ one time.......and
they are just pieces......flotsam in my brain/conscientiousness/unconsciousness....whatever.....
they are there just movin' 'round.....like stirring batter
by removing what i didn't want.....or what i said i didn't want....it made room for what i did want......& that is when some things came together for me this am.....
i think it started w/the removal of the last microwave from my home......lol.....no....it started loooong before that.........i am home today doing the "suzie homemaker" thing & loving it
got music playing
made my cup of coffee like i used to.....slow....not fast....a ritual.....one i so very much enjoy
got an empty counter top.......SPACE!!!!
& then i begin mixing my herbs/plants to make my hawthorne berry tea
& i start re-arranging a few things & everything is working!!
pieces are falling into place.....i am actually dancing around the room to wonderful!....wonderful music!....(thank you cindy!!).........(lawrence welk reference for those who are uniformed)
i work outside my home......making someone else rich
so.......having a morning where i actually feel like doing anything around my home is a treasure.....so much energy wasted making someone else rich....
i digress.....
if you asked me today: was i happy?..........YES!....YES!.....A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!
so very happy i am gonna cry

cat haiku
You never feed me.
Perhaps I'll sleep on your face.
That will sure show you.
You must scratch me there!
Yes, above my tail!
Behold, elevator butt.
The rule for today:
Touch my tail, I shred your hand.
New rule tomorrow.
You're always typing.
Well, let's see you ignore my
sitting on your hands.
I want to be close
to you. Can I fit my head
inside your armpit?

ok........hows this for a short & sweet rational's thought on who does what:
the idealist thinks it up
the rational thinks: can this work?
the artisan builds it.......& .......
the guardian makes sure it is according to code
HEY EVERYBODY!!!!!...........GET W/THE PROGRAM!!!
........oh wait!.......you already are!........and just don't know it!

art
i love costume & design & special effects
three forms of art
(there's some psychological stuff too)
my daughter & i were discussing "zena warrior
princess" & how we liked the costumes but the
acting sucked.......i was not really able to
"suspend disbelief" when watching any episode
but.......a movie like lord of the rings.......
w/costume
w/design
w/special effects
w/fantasy
w/not half bad acting.......lol
coupled w/having read the trilogy every year for
about ten years and imagined how things would
look if i were designing the costumes...etc...etc...etc
well........i guess you know.....i would not have much
trouble suspending disbelief watching that movie

Beings I Want To Thank
i want to thank chickens
not the true free-range chickens
i want to thank all those chickens in pens 24/7
their life cycle regulated by us humans
as if we even had a clue what a chicken needs
if we mirror ourselves
then the chickens in the pens is how we see our selves
......in pens
being force-fed.........another ?.......what are we being force-fed?
doing the same thing over & over again
history repeats itself
and we can't know another life........another possibility.......if all we
know is what we mirror in our world
take a look around............and i mean really look..........don't let your
eyes glaze over......when you see
talking
i am known to speak a lot
as a myers-briggs rational: the absent minded professor
i can tell you about many things....spewing out bits of info
so........
i find it interesting that my favorite poems are
haiku
getting an idea across in the fewest amount of
words
which makes me think about how opposites attract
and why they attract
is it so that each person sees who the other person is
.......and i mean really sees
all the wonderful stuff.........and all the bucket full of
puke and then realizes this opposite is really not
opposite........because.....as i typed in an earlier post........one cannot know what
one does not know..........forgive me.......i ramble

morning 09-18-08
some thing that touched my heart
the....specialness....of being up so early that you
hear the quiet...
and the slow awakening of beings to their daily ablutions....
no one in the whole world is hearing it the same way as me
no one is experiencing the same intense emotions i feel at
this time of day....
i am the only one hearing my slice of world wake up
but......... i'll bet anyone who reads this will know
exactly what i am talking about.

i am really
focusing in on
death.
mine.
the end
of this reality.
of me,
no more
forever.
and again.............only smaller:
5) my focus is death
7) mine. this reality ends.
5) me, no more ever.
i will truly be laid waste

i hate the fact that to me you appear to do nothing
and yet i know that is not true of you
you have a way of "doing" something that is different
from how i "do it"
and the conundrum
i couldn't recognize it in you if i didn't posses the
same quality
i can't know what i don't know
sssssoooooooooo
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together

and besides
"just ask me: is this what you really want?"
is a fucking cop-out

by your hurt or by my hurt
creates our chasm

Date: Jun 1, 2009
i have spent the day surfing the web rest of us........in the coming dayslooking @ shelters........specifically the "shelters in a cart" designs and i like all of the ideas.........some more than others but the thing that keeps nagging me: these people are homeless because our culture is so f....ed up so many greedy people what the f..........is wrong w/us? maybe the competition should have been: "ideas to change what we have allowed in our culture that has caused homelessness" but you know what else? those homeless people will survive better than the

Here's To The Crazy Ones
June 1, 2009 - Monday
Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round
pegs in the square holes - the
ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and
they have no respect for
the status quo. You can praise
them, disagree with them,
quote them, disbelieve them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you
can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
- Jack Kerouac
quoted in an Apple Computer Ad, 1997

“ You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before, she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.
